We recently completed a survey of an 11 bar steam system at Tata Steel for one of our clients.
This high level survey included all of the 11 bar steam system within Tata Steel at Port Talbot including instrumentation and control systems up to the end user or plant limit as defined by project scope. The survey was then converted into a 3D model using Plant3D to allow reverse engineering, flow simulation and stress analysis of the system .
General visual check of the system was also undertaken highlighting areas of concern and the systems general condition including leaks, corrosion, damage, broken or inadequately positioned supports & anchors and missing insulation.
